Who are we? We are Way of Wisdom Christian Homeschool Co-Op (soon to be Alpha Omega Christian Homeschool Co-Op), a group of Christian homeschooling families in the Waco area, joining together to encourage, enrich and educate our children together through weekly parent lead cooperative classes.
When will we meet? WOW will have 14-week semesters. Thursdays. Starting February 4th, with the exception of Spring Break
Is there an age requirement: Oldest child must be at least 5 and in Kindergarten by Fall of 2020 to enroll.
Can my younger children attend? Yes! There will be a nursery for the children 4 and younger.
What is the purpose of this co-op? It is our purpose to serve Christ by homeschooling our children in partnership with other homeschooling families; to provide quality educational enrichment courses that enable our children to maximize their God-given talents and potential; and to provide a positive and safe learning environment where children can learn academics, responsibility, accountability, and appropriate social skills in a Christian context. WOW is not meant to replace any homeschool program, it is only to enrich and add to the elements of which the parents are already doing at home.
Can I drop my child off?
No, if your child is enrolled in the co-op, you will need to remain at the co-op the entire time with your child or appoint a guardian (background check required) to take your place.
What are the fees? Registration fees are paid per family. Class fees, if any, will be paid to the individual teacher.
$50 for returning families
$60 for new families
Where will this take place? Calvary Chapel. Their address is 702 N 18th St in Waco.
How can I, as a parent, help? Each parent will need to earn 4 points per semester in order to help run the co-op. You can earn your points in the following ways:
Serve on the co-op board: 4 points
Teach one class: 2 points
Co-teach one class: 1 point
Assist in one class: 1 point
Assist in Nursery, or Pre-K: 1 point
Serve on the set-up crew: 1 point
Serve on the clean-up crew : 1 point
What are the expectations? WOW will provide a positive and safe learning environment beneficial for children to learn responsibility, accountability and appropriate social skills in a Christian context.• Each class will always be taught by no less than two teachers.
• Each teacher will be responsible for the curriculum layout of their class and classroom materials.
• All adult co-op members must pass a background check before attending co-op.
• Teachers may charge for materials ONLY and may not receive compensation for their time unless specifically hired for that purpose.

9:30-9:45 Opening Assembly
9:50-10:40 First Period
10:45-11:35 Second Period
11:40-12:10 Lunch/Recess
12:15-1:05 Third Period
1:10-2:00 Fourth Period
